About

Miaou expo is an occasion to celebrate everyday art of everyday artists. It’s a space for sharing experiences and exploring different artistic sensibilities – expressed in a variety of styles.

As the co-organiser of the exposition, I was responsible for creating the visual identity and communication strategy for the event. As a first step, I designed the promotional poster, which later influenced all the visual decisions, including logo and additional asset design. The idea was to create something magnetic, geometrical, and not obvious; and of course, holding a dose of miaou

To reinforce the feeling of humanness and curiosity that guided this project, I wanted as much of the design process as possible to exist outside of my computer. The illustrated section of the poster was first constructed entirely on paper, and later on I decided to recreate the central part of it in the form of a linocut, finally transferred to all event tickets – each unique and marked with a random prompt to inspire guests to create something of their own.
